Supporting Our Veteran Families

Our mission is to end food insecurity within the veteran community, providing fresh produce, dairy, meats, and essential supplies to veterans and military families facing hardship.

Freedom Pantry For Veterans is a 501c3 nonprofit #26-2864750

We believe honoring veterans must go beyond rhetoric. It requires real resources, real support, and real community action — especially when government assistance falls short or is too complex to navigate. Freedom Pantry for Veterans and partners work tirelessly to ensure that those who served this nation do not go hungry.

When we acknowledge the true scope of veteran food insecurity and act with compassion and accountability, we make good on the promise we owe all who served: that their families will be cared for with dignity, respect, and the support they deserve

100% Of all donations go directly for families in need, We are a all volunteer group, no paid employees and without donations we would not be able to continue helping families in need.

Veteran Food Insecurities

Helping Veteran /Military families in need through various community projects.

Providing assistance to area disaster victims in need.

We have helped local communities hit by disaster by coming together with our partners to provide much needed assistance as soon as possible.

Too many of our nation’s veterans and their families face a crisis that rarely makes headlines: food insecurity. Despite popular belief that the government fully supports those who served, the reality on the ground is far more troubling.

Across the United States, approximately 1 in 9 working-age veterans struggles with food insecurity, meaning they lack consistent access to enough food for a healthy life — a rate that, in many communities, exceeds that of their non-veteran peers.

Studies also show that among certain groups — including women veterans and those who served in recent conflicts like Iraq and Afghanistan — rates of food insecurity can be as high as 27–28%

These are not abstract numbers — they represent veteran families choosing between groceries and rent, skipping meals so their children can eat, and turning to community support simply to survive.

Too often, the narrative that “the government takes care of veterans” obscures the truth that many veterans fall through the cracks of federal programs. While programs like SNAP help millions nationwide, only a small percentage of food-insecure veterans actually receive benefits, and many are unaware of how to access them.

Vietnam Veterans

Welcome Home !

Welcome Home, and Thank You for Our Freedom

In Honor of Vietnam-Era U.S. Veterans.

You heard the call across the sea,

To stand for peace and liberty.

Through jungle heat and skies of flame,

You bore the burden, took the blame.

You fought a war not of your choosing,

Faced a world that seemed confusing.

With courage forged in fire and rain,

You marched through loss, endured the pain.

When silence met you coming home,

And praise was scarce, and hearts were stone,

Still, you held your head up high—

No one could dim your inner sky.

Time has passed, but truth remains:

Your honor flows in freedom's veins.

You gave us more than words can say,

In every step you made that day.

So now we stand, with open arms,

Grateful for your strength and calm.

Welcome home—your journey’s done,

Thank you for the freedom won.

May we never forget and we forever honor

our Veitnam veterans.

Sincerely,
Cindy Stephens
